Aaron Tippin Concert at Iowa 80 Truckstop Attracts Thousands

WALCOTT, IOWA -- Iowa 80 Truckstop hosted Aaron Tippin on Thursday, July 9th at part of its 30th Anniversary Walcott Truckers Jamboree. The free concert was a huge success, attracting nearly 10,000 people. Tippin signed autographs for fans after the concert for nearly two hours. ”Aaron Tippin was a great fit for our event,” says Heather DeBaillie, Marketing Manager. “Being a former truck driver himself, he could relate to our audience and put on a fantastic show.”

Aaron Tippin also participated in a Meet & Greet event prior to the concert where he signed autographs and posed for photos with over 100 guests. Both the concert and the Meet & Greet were generously sponsored by Mobil Delvac.

The Walcott Truckers Jamboree began in 1979 featuring a few exhibits, live music, food and a small display of antique trucks. That first Jamboree only attracted a few hundred drivers, a far cry from the 30,000 it attracts today. Even though the size of the Jamboree has changed over the years, you can bet that its focus hasn’t. Celebrating America’s Truckers is definitely what the Jamboree is all about. It is Iowa 80’s way of thanking drivers for all of their hard work and dedication in hauling America’s freight. This year also marks the 45th Anniversary for Iowa 80 Truckstop.
