The best top loaded tunable tip fiberglass CB antenna for semi trucks, Driver Extreme Silver Bullet. Rugged design with the range and performance needed for modern vehicles.

Driver Extreme Silver Bullet antennas have more surface area to better transmit and receive, increased power handling and wider bandwidth. Signal is transmitted up and over the vehicle, regardless of antenna size, to minimize signal obstruction. The antenna remains vertical and rigid, minimizing signal flutter and providing more consistent tuning. Heavy gauge copper wire conductor and true top loaded helical design, multi-band design and weather band coverage without traps that cause signal loss. The sturdiest fiberglass shaft available that is manufactured in the Driver Extreme U.S. facility.

There’s something else that sets the Silver Bullet apart from the rest of the pack, you can tune it by hand - no tools are required! Simply loosen the locking collar and adjust the stainless knurled tip to fine tune for lowest SWR. Once dialed in, snug the locking collar and go! The best part is everything remains sealed and holds tight thanks to a nitrile rubber O-ring inside. Genius, right? The use of a stainless steel threaded stud at the base rather than machined brass, assures greater strength and longer life too. The end result is more consistent performance, day in and day out. Performance you can count on when you need it most.

How to Tune Your Silver Bullet Antenna

Method: Fingertip Tuning
Tools required:  SWR Meter
  • For wide band performance, the SWR readings on Channel 1 and 40 should be equal with the lowest reading on Ch. 20.  You must calibrate on Ch. 1 and then check the SWR.  Repeat this step on Ch. 40.
  • If the SWR reading is higher on Ch. 40, the antenna needs to be shortened.  Loosen the locking nut on the Silver Bullet tip and lower the tuning tip.  Recheck the SWR and adjust the tuning tip as needed to achieve balanced readings on Ch. 1 and 40.
  • If the SWR reading is higher on Ch. 1, the antenna needs to be lengthened.  Loosen the nut on the Silver Bullet tip and raise the tuning tip.  Recheck the SWR and adjust the tuning tip as needed to achieve balanced readings on Ch. 1 and 40.
